Fear Street

Netflix Shares First Five Minutes Of Its Upcoming Horror Trilogy Street of fearinspired by RL Stine’s Street of fear a series of youthful novels. The film trilogy, which will be released over three Fridays starting on July 2, is also split into three distinct periods: 1994, 1978, and 1666. Teens trying to save their lives are a universal phenomenon, regardless of the year it seems.

Here’s a Netflix synopsis for the movies:

In 1994, a group of teenagers discovers that the horrific events that have haunted their city for generations can be linked and that they could be the next target.

Like someone who grew up on Goosebumps and a marathon to adapt books for television films every Halloween, Street of fear This seems to be a great update to this vibe. Those first five minutes aren’t all that scary, but they translate some of the classic slasher plots into RL Stein’s goofy style.
